Job description

Customer-centric and supportive full-service real estate law firm based in South Florida specializing in complex litigation cases and transactions is seeking an experienced Foreclosure Paralegal to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working on Plaintiff Mortgage Foreclosure litigation files, including, but not limited to: ordering title commitments, preparing draft Mortgage Foreclosure Complaints, Motions for Default, Notice of Dropping, Motion for Summary Judgment and other pleadings, e-filing pleadings, e-serving pleadings, setting hearings, communicating with clients in Tempo, CaseAware, LPS and other client systems and communicating with Opposing counsel. This is a full-time position based out of the firms Boca Raton, FL office.

Qualifications:

  • Must have 3+ years of foreclosure experience as a paralegal in a law firm; paralegal degree or certificate preferred
  • Must have experience drafting foreclosure complaints
  • Must be comfortable answering phones, opening files in Case Aware practice management system
  • Must be able to e-file pleadings, e-serve pleadings, set hearings and knowledgeable communicating with clients in Tempo, LPS and other client systems as well as communicating with Opposing counsel; Experience with LPS and CaseAware is preferred
  • Must be experienced with Florida Court system’s e-filing system
  • Must have excellent attention to detail, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Must show professionalism, good judgment and have the ability to manage in high pressure situations
  • Must have a strong willingness to learn and the ability to interpret and follow instructions quickly and efficiently
