Summary JOB SUMMARY Coordinates activities of Cargo Inspector and Senior Cargo Inspector assigned to the Warehouse. Assumes responsibility of Manager/Supervisor during manager absence. Handles freight as needed.

Works with Traffic to resolve problems. Coordinates cargo movement with other receive areas and departments. Maintains statistical data on warehouse operation.JOB SCOPENo supervisory or budgetary responsibilities.PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOrganizes and coordinates the receiving, warehousing, and loading of cargo according to established guidelines with personnel.Coordinates the loading and/or transfer of freight to and from other Tropical receive locations as necessary.Notifies Cargo Loss Prevention Department of damages and improperly packed cargo.Ensure the warehouse and assigned equipment are kept clean and properly maintained including scheduling of forklift PMs with Equipment Maintenance.Provides available cargo information to parties as requested.Informs Manager of staffing shortages, warehouse problems, etc.Generates and distributes reports to appropriate persons.Generates container manifests for all loads and distributes to appropriate Traffic personnel.Makes cargo available for U.S.

Customs and U.S.D.A. inspection.Coordinates flammable liquid transfers.Generate bi-weekly cargo on hand Inventory.Oversees and monitors timely transfer of vehicles.Coordinates cargo handling and release.Actively supports Quality Improvement Process.Performs all other assigned duties.MINIMUM EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSEDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalentEXPERIENCE: Two years warehouse operations and one year as Cargo Inspector II.LICENSE: Valid Local Driver's LicenseTRAVEL: N/APHYSICAL: Operations - Manual dexterity to perform repetitive motion tasks on computer or handheld. Ability to frequently twist, bend, reach, squat, kneel, climb on equipment, push/pull 50 pounds, crawl, lift and carry at least 80 pounds on a daily basis.
