Join our dynamic team as an Independent Contractor Driver CARGO VAN, where your driving expertise fuels your independence and flexibility.


MUST PROVIDE OWN CARGO VAN AND EQUIPMENT


In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting packages to peoples homes and apartments. This is DAILY work that pays well. Pick up at set location in the morning and hit the route. Your role is vital in delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers the opportunity to work autonomously and be a key part of a service-driven organization committed to reliability and professionalism.


Duties

  • Operate CARGO VAN efficiently and safely.
  • Arrive at pick up location on time and load boxes neatly and in an organized fashion to maximize route efficiency
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation and safety compliance.
  • Follow all traffic laws and company policies to guarantee safe journeys for all passengers and cargo.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or issues that arise during transit.
  • Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle condition reports as required.


Requirements

  • Proven experience in driving cargo van but not super important.
  • Experience running routes or any similar job experience
  • Valid driver’s license appropriate for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record.
  • Strong communication skills to interact confidently with passengers and team members.
  • Ability to perform light maintenance tasks and identify basic vehicle issues promptly.
  • Physical ability to lift heavy items safely when needed for package handling.
  • Knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and best practices for commercial driving.
