Inspector Fort Lauderdale- Travel to Client Sites

What are we looking for?

The Inspector will be responsible for performing necessary volume measurements, sampling, calculations, documentation, and reporting to ensure that our customers receive an independent, accurate, and complete assessment of the quantity and quality of materials. This role is crucial in supporting our goal of providing a service that is accurate, timely, and cost-effective. The Inspector awarded this position will travel between Fort Lauderdale & Tampa. 

Shift/Schedule: On call, to include nights weekends and Holidays

What you'll do:

  • Conduct volume measurements and sampling of materials in accordance with established procedures and standards
  • Perform calculations related to quantity and quality assessments
  • Document findings accurately and comprehensively, ensuring all records are up-to-date and accessible
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on inspection results, including any discrepancies or issues identified during assessments
  • Collaborate with team members and clients to address any concerns and provide clarification on inspection findings
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance in all inspections
  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment for measurements and sampling, ensuring they are calibrated and maintained
  • Participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge related to inspection practices
  • Support the team in achieving operational goals and objectives while fostering a culture of safety and quality.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written 
  • Valid driver's license and reliable driving record are required
  • Ability to lift and carry materials up to 45lbs, as needed
  • Applicants must reside in and be able to legally work in the United States

Preferred Requirements & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in inspection or quality control preferred
  • Previous experience of 1-5 years in an inspection role or related field is an advantage
  • Associate's degree: Preferred in relevant fields such as engineering, construction management, or quality assurance
  • Proficiency in inspection tools and technology 
  • Understanding of quality control standards (e.g., ISO, ASTM)
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and reports to identify issues and recommend solutions
  • Attention to Detail: Critical for identifying defects or non-conformance in products or processes
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TWIC card
