Job description

SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for making deliveries, picking up merchandise, running simple errands to fulfill any business needs by operating company cargo van. This role will also entail working in the warehouse, helping with tasks as needed, when pick ups/deliveries are not needed.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Pick-up, deliver, run simple errands of business-related items by operating company cargo van
  • Load and unload materials to businesses in a safe, timely manner
  • Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies when making pick up of material
  • Transport materials to production facility
  • Identify and schedule preventative maintenance on van and maintain vehicle in clean and operational condition
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip van safety inspections
  • Provide production support by performing duties in all department when not making transports
  • Keep updated records delivery and pick-up runs
  • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
  • Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities and vehicle

* Additional duties as required based on business need

QUALIFICATIONS, AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a valid driver’s license issued by the state
  • Must have less than three (3) moving violations in the past year
  • Must follow all legal rules of the road
  • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
  • Excellent physical condition and coordination
  • High school diploma

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

  • Bilingual Spanish preferred
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination.
  • Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
  • Mathematical aptitude.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is in a warehouse production environment as well as being in a cargo vehicle.
