Job description

CARGO VAN DRIVER (Bronx, NY 10461)

Starting Pay: $23.75/hr.


JOB DUTIES:

  • Operate a cargo van to complete assigned delivery routes safely and efficiently.
  • Load, transport, and deliver packages to designated locations.
  • Perform frequent walking throughout the workday while making deliveries.
  • Lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Follow assigned schedules, routes, and delivery procedures.
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation as required.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Minimum 5 years of driving history.
  • At least 1 year of experience operating a cargo van or similar commercial-size vehicle preferred.
  • Ability to safely lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform extensive walking and physical activities throughout the workday.
  • Strong time management, organizational, and navigation skills.
  • Reliable and dependable attendance.
  • Ability to work independently and meet delivery deadlines.
