Job Description
Title: RN - Outpatient Cardiology
Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Assignment Details: Contract Length: 27 weeks
Requirements:
- NY RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification
- Minimum 2 years of patient care experience with recent experience in arrhythmia recognition and cardiology
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Perform exercise tolerance tests (ETTs) and nuclear stress testing.
- Conduct initial patient interviews and preliminary assessments of test data.
- Prepare study data for physician interpretation.
- Collaborate with physicians and the cardiology supervisor to assure accurate and timely results.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures, providing education to patients and their families.
- Assist with monitoring special procedures such as stress-echocardiogram studies and tilt table studies.
- Recognize emergency situations and respond according to established protocol.
- Identify and interpret arrhythmias.
- Perform conscious sedation as needed.
