RN โ€“ Vaccine Clinic COVID-19 Response

Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center Department of Veterans Affairs offers healthcare services to eligible military veterans at VA medical centers and outpatient clinics across the country. Driven by the mission to fulfill President Lincoln's promise "To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow, and his orphan", VA strives to serve and honor America's veterans by adhering to the highest standards of compassion, commitment, excellence, professionalism, integrity, accountability, and stewardship.

The Phoenix VA Health Care System proudly serves Veterans in central Arizona at the Carl T. Hayden VA Medical Center and nine community-based outpatient VA clinics. POSITION OVERVIEW (duties include but are not limited to)

  • Maintains and assures clinical standards and all infectious disease practices according to protocol.
  • Ensures the site and staff follows current guidelines, regulations, requirements and best practices on COVID-19 vaccination and mitigation practices.
  • Administers COVID-19 vaccinations and provides patient care as needed.
  • Monitors patients who receive COVID-19 vaccination as needed.
  • Educates patients about COVID-19 vaccination.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Nursing (AS or BS) required.
  • Med/Surg experience
  • COVID-19 vaccination experience preferred, but not necessary.
  • ACLS/BLS required.
  • Current, Full unrestricted Licensure, Certification, or Registration required.

SHIFTS: Day shift, 40 hours per week - ASAP Starts
