Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Telemetry/Cardiac
SCHEDULE
Shift: Nights, 18:45-07:15
Weekend requirement: 4 weekend days in a 6-week time track
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks or longer
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years RN experience
- NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submission
- Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS
- Experience with telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation/management
- Comfortable managing cardiac drips (Cardizem, dopamine, dobutamine, milrinone, amiodarone, furosemide, heparin)
- Experience with pacemaker/defibrillator patients and heart-failure pathways
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and assess patient vital signs and telemetry readings for cardiac patients.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac health.
- Document patient care and progress using designated electronic medical record systems.
- Respond to changes in patient condition and implement appropriate interventions.
COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- COVID-19 vaccination is not required; Flu vaccination is required (medical/religious exemptions only).
- Pre-start requirements include lab testing and completion of pre-start modules.
- Call-off policy is enforced with no RTO allowed after booking.
