Job Summary: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Used Car Buyer/Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for identifying valuable used car acquisitions, a thorough understanding of market trends, and the ability to negotiate and secure profitable deals. This role involves managing our used car inventory, developing purchasing strategies, and maintaining relationships with sellers and auction houses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies for acquiring high-quality used vehicles at competitive prices.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify trends, demand, and pricing for used vehicles.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with auction houses, private sellers, and other sources for used car acquisitions.
  • Evaluate vehicle conditions, history, and pricing to ensure profitable purchases.
  • Manage and oversee the used car inventory, including pricing, display, and rotation.
  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to ensure the inventory meets customer demands and dealership sales goals.
  • Monitor and adjust inventory levels based on sales data and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to vehicle acquisition and sales.
  • Train and lead a team dedicated to the acquisition and management of used vehicles.
  • MUST BE FAMILIAR WITH VAUTO

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Automotive, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in used car buying/management, with a strong track record of successful vehicle acquisitions.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong knowledge of the automotive industry, market trends, and vehicle valuation.
  • Proficient in using automotive software and platforms for inventory management.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
