Job Overview

The Capture Manager (CM) is responsible for providing effective capture leadership to win new business in the U.S. Defense aerospace market. The CM will establish the strategy and capture plan, organize and lead the capture team, mentor and educate personnel, manage the respective B&P budget and schedule, collaborate across the company, perform market analysis, monitor competitor activity, and drive winning solutions. The CM will develop, organize, and execute capture activities, to include understanding customer requirements, leading development of the technical solution, shaping the Request For Proposal (RFP), assessing competition and teaming opportunities, and developing and executing the Win Strategy.

Essential Functions

  • New business capture and proposal management in conjunction with Business Development Lead
  • Develops capture plans, competitor assessments, and capability presentations.
  • Develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Research and identify business opportunities within target markets and industries.
  • Assess potential opportunities and conduct qualification analyses to determine alignment with company goals.
  • Develop and execute capture strategies tailored to specific opportunities.
  • Work with stakeholders to create value propositions and win themes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Identify and support negotiations with teaming partners and subcontractors as needed.
  • Collaborate with proposal teams to ensure alignment between the capture strategy and proposal content.
  • Contribute to writing, reviewing, and editing proposals to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Assist with the development of executive summaries, solution concepts, and pricing strategies.
  • Work closely with business development, operations, and technical teams to ensure cohesive strategies and solutions.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Demonstrated experience in leadership, pursuit and capture of new business Strong Critical thinking and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both verbal and written Excellent customer facing skills Proficient in Microsoft Office suites (Word, PowerPoint, etc.) Proficient in Salesforce or other CRM application (preferred)

Education / Certifications

Bachelor's degree (BS preferred) PMP Certification (preferred)

Experience

5+ years of experience in program management and/or project engineering with proposal development and management experience Experience with US Defense programs ISR and/or Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) experience preferred Project/Program Management experience within a U.S. Defense Program Office preferred
