Job description

he Inventory Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of all cannabis inventory, including receiving shipments, inventory reconciliation, cycle counts, vendor returns, product organization, and regulatory compliance. This position works closely with the General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and vendor partners to maintain accurate inventory and support smooth store operations.

Responsibilities
  • Receive and verify all incoming product deliveries.
  • Process inventory into Dutchie and other required inventory systems.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and monthly inventory audits.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in accordance with New York State regulations.
  • Organize and maintain a clean, secure backroom.
  • Rotate inventory using FIFO practices.
  • Monitor product expiration dates and coordinate returns or credits.
  • Process vendor returns and communicate with brand representatives.
  • Verify invoices, pricing, and purchase orders.
  • Restock the sales floor and maintain product availability.
  • Train team members on proper inventory handling procedures.
  • Assist with compliance inspections and internal audits.
  • Work closely with management to improve inventory efficiency and reduce loss.
Qualifications
  • Previous inventory management experience required.
  • Cannabis dispensary experience preferred.
  • Experience with Dutchie POS or similar inventory management systems.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Excel and inventory reports.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.

Requirements

Required Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

  • Minimum of 2 years of Inventory Manager experience in a retail, warehouse, or cannabis environment.
  • Previous cannabis dispensary experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with inventory management software; Dutchie experience is highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, cycle counts, inventory reconciliation, and auditing procedures.
  • Experience receiving shipments, processing invoices, and managing vendor returns and credits.
  • Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
  • Reliable transportation with dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements throughout an entire shift.
    • Ability to work in a secured inventory room and stock storage areas.
