The Role

LeafLink is seeking a Staff Cloud Engineer to lead the evolution of our cloud infrastructure and developer platform. This role helps ensure our systems remain scalable, reliable, and secure while enabling engineering teams to ship software quickly and safely.

Staff Cloud Engineers operate as technical leaders who shape infrastructure architecture and platform standards. This role partners closely with engineering teams to improve deployment pipelines, observability, and operational reliability across the platform.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Design and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS.
  • Lead improvements to Kubernetes infrastructure, Helm deployments, and cluster reliability.
  • Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub and modern DevOps tooling.
  • Implement GitOps workflows using Argo and infrastructure automation.
  • Manage infrastructure-as-code using Terraform and related tooling.
  • Improve system observability, monitoring, and incident response processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment safety and platform reliability.
  • Guide infrastructure architecture decisions and platform standards.
  • Mentor engineers on operational best practices and infrastructure patterns.
What You'll Bring to the Team
  • 8+ years of experience operating production infrastructure in cloud environments.
  • Strong experience with AWS infrastructure and cloud architecture.
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
  • Experience managing deployments using Helm.
  • Experience implementing GitOps workflows using tools such as Argo.
  • Strong experience with Terraform and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Experience building CI/CD systems using GitHub or similar platforms.
  • Strong understanding of system reliability, monitoring, and operational practices.
