SUMMARY AND SCOPE OF THE POSITION: The Inventory Tech assists with receiving, labeling, packaging, and storing cannabis goods, maintains and cleans the inventory workspace, processes goods for retail, and ensures compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Pull product to fulfill customer orders, online or in store per SOPs ,Island Pezi statutes, and management guidelinesCount all regulated inventory daily and report to Inventory Manager.Ensure products are quality checked with correct packaging and labels based on 3rd Party Lab Results.Organize and store finished goods in the vault.Replentish and move inventory to inventory area for customer  order fullfillment dailyPerform cleaning duties (e.g., surfaces, trash, breakroom, bathroom).Complete tasks assigned by the Inventory Supervisor or Management.Monitor cannabis inventory conditions and report any issues to Management.Assist with maintaining store compliance with Island Pezi and vendor requirements.Perform all other assigned duties.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A valid State issued Driver's License Must be 21 years of age or olderMust successfully pass a background checkMust successfully pass a drug test for all substances non-cannabisPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Strong preference for bilingual (English/Spanish) applicantsPrior cannabis industry knowledge, education, or certificationUnderstanding of state marijuana policies, laws, compliance, and regulations3-5 years of experience in a similar roleProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet applicationsExceptional customer service, data entry, and record-keeping skillsBasic math skills and strong problem-solving abilitiesAbility to multitask, maintain teamwork, and resolve conflicts effectivelyTECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong verbal, listening, and written communication skills, with the ability to assess risk effectivelyStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including overcoming objections and anticipating concernsCapable of exercising independent judgment and making sound decisionsExcellent personal organization, time management, and multitasking skills, especially under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environmentKEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED: Self-motivated with the ability to positively influence othersStrong work ethic, sound judgment, and willingness to make timely decisionsProfessional appearance, attitude, and social skills for building relationshipsAdaptable, flexible, and non-judgmental in a constantly changing environmentCapable of handling stress and high-volume workloads calmly and productivelyEager to embrace new challenges for personal and professional growthAttention to detail and results-orientedPYSICAL DEMANDS:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
