This role ensures uninterrupted production by maintaining accurate inventory records, cultivating strong vendor relationships, and upholding all compliance and quality standards. Serving as the central link between vendors, compliance, production, and logistics, the Supervisor ensures a consistent flow of high-quality cannabis material to support efficient and compliant operations.Duties/Responsibilities:Team Leadership & OversightLead, train, and develop a team of Inventory Coordinators supporting cannabis intake, allocation, and reconciliation.Provide coaching, feedback, and performance management to drive accountability, accuracy, and efficiency.Material Intake & Quality ControlOversee receipt, inspection, and approval of all cannabis material in line with SOPs and state compliance requirements.Ensure no material is released to production without required testing and quality approvals.Continuously evaluate and grade incoming material, providing clear feedback for improvement.Inventory Management & Floor AllocationAllocate, stage, and track cannabis material for production use.Reconcile all returns and waste at batch close, ensuring documentation and system adjustments are accurate.Record and isolate all cannabis waste, ensuring adjustments are completed weekly in collaboration with Accounting.Maintain real-time inventory accuracy (99%+) across ERP and METRC systems.Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory is always audit-ready.Production & Work Order ManagementVerify accuracy and completeness of all work orders and batch records before production.Ensure timely posting of all production work orders.Track and reconcile material usage, including waste and variances.Monitor inventory and system cleanliness, including work orders not directly handled by your team.Sales & Reporting OversightTrack, audit, and manage all Bio sales to ensure accuracy and compliance.Maintain Weeks-on-Hand (WOH) inventory reports and present weekly updates on cannabis inventory status.Provide proactive analysis of material needs to prevent shortages or overstock.Terpene & Material AccountabilityManage terpene purchasing and inventory tracking.Vendor & Procurement CoordinationManage vendor relationships, ensuring delivery commitments and quality standards are met.Support purchasing and cost negotiations to balance efficiency with product quality.Coordinate pickups, returns, and transfers with Distribution and Accounts Payable teams.Continuous Improvement & ComplianceDrive live process adjustments and continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.Ensure cannabis handling, storage, and transport strictly follow state and internal guidelines.Maintain audit-ready documentation for all cannabis movements, usage, and waste.Required Skills/Abilities:Skilled in vendor management, negotiation, and quality oversight.Strong analytical abilities in demand forecasting, reconciliation, and variance management.Highly organized, detail-oriented, and an effective communicator.Ability to adapt quickly, adjust live processes, and implement continuous improvements.Commitment to continuous learning in cannabis grading, compliance changes, and industry best practices.Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GED required (Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred).Must be 21 years of age or older.3+ years of experience in cannabis inventory, bulk material management, or related supply chain/production role.Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.Strong knowledge of cannabis regulations, compliance systems (METRC preferred), and QA standards.Proficiency in ERP systems (Business Central preferred) and inventory management tools.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift and carry heavy objects up to 75 pounds. Comfortable working in environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold and other industrial elements. Ability to work in a warehouse environment with variable temperatures and humidity levels. Willingness to work flexible hours and occasional overtime as needed, including weekends, public holidays, and evenings. Must be able to stand, walk, bend over, and pick up items and have constant movement for the duration of the shift.Must be able to lift, push, kneel, and pick up items, both small and large. Capability to operate heavy machinery such as pallet jacks and forklifts safely and efficiently.Work Schedule (Exempt):This is a full-time, exempt position. The role requires the flexibility to work the hours necessary to meet business needs, which may include extended hours, weekends, and holidays.
