The Sr Supply Chain Manager is responsible for driving operational excellence and supply chain readiness across both brewery locations. This role leads Production Scheduling and Materials Planning & Tactical Buying, ensuring finished goods and critical materials flow efficiently through the network. It serves as a key integrator across Operations, Procurement, and Commercial teams, translating demand signals into executable production and material plans. The Senior Supply Chain Manager balances service, cost, and risk while ensuring supply chain resilience. The role reports to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement and is based on site in Chico, CA.

What You Will Do
  • Strategic Planning & Supply Chain Capabilities
    • Support the overall Supply Chain objective: Right Product, Right Place, Right Time, Right Cost.
    • Lead production scheduling and materials planning to ensure alignment between demand, production capability, and raw material availability.
    • Facilitate the Supply Review within the S&OP/IBP process, ensuring supply constraints, risks, and tradeoffs are clearly surfaced and addressed.
    • Balance service levels, cost, and operational risk; escalating critical decisions to the Director of Supply Chain & Procurement when appropriate.
    • Identify emerging supply risks and potential disruptions across suppliers, materials, and operations.
    • Partner closely with Operations leadership to define clear responsibilities, decision rights, and hand‑offs between planning and manufacturing.
    • Serve as the primary supply chain leader during operational disruptions including supplier failures, transportation delays, materials shortages, forecast gaps, and production challenges.
    • Leverage planning systems and analytics to improve schedule optimization, visibility, and reporting.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to strengthen supply chain processes, planning accuracy, and operational performance.
  • Inventory & Operations Optimization
    • Establish and maintain appropriate inventory strategies across finished goods and materials, including core brands, seasonals, rotators, and new product development (NPD).
    • Own and monitor key supply chain KPIs including OTIF, inventory levels (Days on Hand), and supply‑related cost drivers within COGS.
    • Partner with Warehouse Operations, CanDo (third‑party bottling), and Fulfillment teams to ensure internal customer service levels are achieved.
    • Collaborate with Demand Planning and Commercial teams to maintain balanced inventory targets and mitigate excess or obsolete inventory.
    • Improve network efficiency through strategic production scheduling and material purchasing practices.
    • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve utilization, and enhance supply chain responsiveness.
  • Leadership
    • Lead and develop the Production Scheduling and Materials Planning teams, aligning priorities with company objectives.
    • Establish clear goals, performance expectations, and development plans for team members.
    • Foster strong cross‑functional communication across Supply Chain, Operations, Commercial, and Finance teams.
    • Promote a culture of accountability, problem solving, and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
Please Apply if You Have
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Business, Operations Management, or any combination of experience and/or education that has provided comparable knowledge, skills and abilities.
  • 7 years of progressive experience in supply chain, planning, or operations within brewing, beverage, or consumer packaged goods environments, including operations consulting experience.
  • 5 years experience as a people leader.
  • Proven experience managing supply chain operations across a single manufacturing site, with multiple‑site management being preferred.
  • Strong understanding of brewing, filtration, packaging, and brewery production environments is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate supply chain, operational, and commercial perspectives to drive performance.
  • Experience working within S&OP / Integrated Business Planning processes.
  • Proficiency in planning systems and analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
  • Exceptional facilitation, communication, stakeholder management skills, plus a high level of curiosity.
