Job description

Job Title: Inventory Coordinator   

Pay: $19.25 to $21.25 per hour
Job Type: Full Time, Non-Exempt
Shift: Monday to Friday - 8:30 am to 5 pm
Location: Taneytown, MD 21787

Who You Are:

We are looking for a self-motivated Inventory Coordinator who is responsible for inventory audits, compliance tags, and supporting order fulfillment and product information tracking across the facility. This role will work with the Inventory Manager and/or Inventory Supervisor to ensure that we are proactive in addressing potential issues, maintaining compliance throughout the facility, maintaining compliance within our inventory and ordering systems and to formulate, implement and enforce proper techniques within the production areas and warehouse.

What You Will Do:

  • Conduct audits of all finished goods from cultivation, extraction, kitchen, packaging and warehouse through state required cannabis inventory tracking software.
  • Coordinates with cultivation team in order to create new plantings in METRC by using information on the clone logs.
  • Create METRC compliance tags for individual plants.
  • Reconcile physical and online inventory levels.
  • Verify and count production received from manufacturing.
  • Assist with lost SKU investigations.
  • Support order fulfillment by picking, pulling, and stickering finished goods.
  • Accurately document and enter data to maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and promptly report discrepancies to team leads and the Inventory Manager/Supervisor, ensuring proper documentation and corrective actions.
  • Support problem-solving initiatives to improve operational efficiency and compliance reporting.
  • Submit a weekly compliance report to the Inventory Manager/Supervisor summarizing findings and updates.
  • Ensure all plant waste is properly logged and disposed of in accordance with regulations.
  • Support all departments with their quarterly audits and compliance-related reporting.
  • Provide training and education on data collection, auditing systems, and procedures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
  • Establish and uphold data quality standards, working closely with management to align with regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate current inventory tracking systems and reporting procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ensure strict adherence to company policies and state regulatory standards, actively participating in compliance initiatives.
  • Participate in continuous process improvement efforts, collaborating with leadership to refine workflows and enhance compliance protocols.

What You Will Bring:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of cycle counts and inventory auditing experience
  • 1+ year of experience with digital inventory systems
  • 1+ years of experience in distribution, order fulfillment, or production/warehouse environments.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Ability to solve complex data problems
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage several tasks/projects concurrently and prioritize work effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience managing database systems and/or data warehouse management systems preferred
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with data integration and extraction from and to multiple diverse data sources and software programs preferred
  • Previous experience in cannabis preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 75 pounds.
  • Comfortable with using a lift to access heights up to 25 feet. 
  • Close vision (20 inches) required to read labels and important SKU information
  • Legible handwriting skills
  • Consistent hand eye coordination and excellent hand dexterity

This position has allergen warnings - potential exposure to dust, pollen, and plant pathogens. Exposure to cleaning solvents, such as high volumes of isopropyl alcohol. All jobs require daily use of provided PPE, such as masks, hair nets, beard covers, respirators, boot covers, scrubs, non-slip shoes, and Tyvek suits as necessary. Exposure to loud noises, including but not limited to air compressors, packaging equipment, and alarms. Exposure to CO2 manufacturing procedures at OSHA approved CO2 levels.
