Job description

The Campaign Operations Manager will be responsible for supporting the execution, deployment, and operational management of marketing campaigns across email, webinar, event, and web channels. This role requires strong hands-on experience with Marketo and a solid understanding of marketing campaign operations, quality assurance, audience segmentation, and campaign performance tracking.
The successful candidate will partner closely with internal marketing stakeholders to translate campaign requirements into well-executed programs. This individual will be responsible for building and deploying email campaigns, webinar programs, event campaigns, and assisting with the creation and maintenance of web pages within the company's content management system as needed.
Key Responsibilities
  • Build, test, deploy, and optimize email campaigns in Marketo including segmentation and nurture programs
  • Develop and execute marketing automation workflows to support demand generation and account-based marketing (ABM) efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Marketo with CRM platforms like Salesforce and ensure seamless data flow
  • Create, test, and deploy landing pages, email templates, and forms within Marketo.
  • Analyze and report on campaign performance metrics, providing actionable insights to improve ROI
  • Maintain and update marketing databases to ensure data accuracy and compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other data privacy regulations
  • Develop and document best practices for marketing automation processes and train team members as needed
  • Stay current on marketing automation trends and advancements to continually refine strategies and tactics
  • Support webinar and event campaign execution, including registration setup, invitation and reminder emails, confirmation and follow-up communications, attendee tracking, and post-event reporting.
  • Assist with the creation and updating of web pages within the company's web content management system.
  • Partner with demand generation, content, product marketing, field marketing, ABM, events, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and execute campaign plans.
  • Perform comprehensive quality assurance across campaign assets, including copy, links, personalization, forms, audience criteria, tracking parameters, and rendering.
  • Ensure campaigns are properly structured, tagged, and integrated with CRM and reporting systems.
  • Monitor campaign performance and provide reporting on key engagement and conversion metrics.
  • Maintain campaign documentation, operational processes, production timelines, and campaign send calendars.
  • Support data quality, list management, suppression logic, consent requirements, and compliance with applicable email marketing regulations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve campaign execution processes, operational efficiency, scalability, and overall quality.

Required Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience using Marketo in a marketing operations or campaign operations capacity.
  • Demonstrated experience building, testing, and deploying email marketing campaigns.
  • Experience supporting webinar, event, or virtual event campaigns.
  • Familiarity with web content management systems and the ability to build or update web pages as needed.
  • Strong understanding of campaign operations processes, audience segmentation, lead management, and campaign tracking.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a disciplined approach to quality assurance.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns, deadlines, and stakeholder requests simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with marketing, sales, field marketing, events, and web teams.
  • Working knowledge of CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Marketo certification or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
  • Experience with webinar platforms such as Zoom Webinars, Goldcast, or similar platforms.
  • Experience working with Sanity CMS platform a plus
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS.
  • Familiarity with email compliance requirements, including CAN-SPAM, GDPR, and consent management.
  • Experience in a B2B marketing environment.

$140,000 - $155,000 a year
Firstup expects the base salary for this role to be between $140,000-155,000. The starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
