Job description

Camp Akiba is seeking energetic, responsible, and compassionateย Division Leadersย to join our leadership team for Summer 2026. Division Leaders are essential to the camp community, serving as the primary support system for both campers and staff within their assigned division. This position is a blend of mentor, organizer, and problem-solver โ€” ensuring the camp experience is safe, fun, and unforgettable. Weโ€™re looking for someone who is excited to be part of Camp Akiba and grow with us for many summers to come.


Location:ย Camp Akiba โ€“ Pocono Mountains, PA

Duration:ย 8 weeks on site (1 week of staff training + 6 weeks of camp + 3 day Spring Planning session)


๏ปฟResponsibilities

  • Oversee theย well-being, growth, and daily experienceย of all campers in your division (approx. 40โ€“60 campers).
  • Supervise and support theย counselors and activity staffย within your division.
  • Serve as a key communicator betweenย camp leadership, staff, and parentsย as needed.ย 
  • Support and reinforce camp policies, traditions, and community standards.
  • Take regular shifts in theย evening duty rotationย to help monitor camp life after hours.
  • Host or oversee evening programs and special activitiesย for your division, ensuring they are fun, safe, and engaging. We are looking for this person to have the ultimate stage presence at camp.
  • Activelyย participate in activitiesย alongside campers to model enthusiasm and involvement.
  • Manage conflictsย that may arise among campers or staff, addressing situations fairly and calmly.
