Youth Data Entry/Intake Specialist

San Diego, California, United States

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Youth Intake Specialist/Case Manager certifies the eligibility and

enters data in the CalJOBS or other funding sources reporting systems

for enrollment of young adults between the ages of 17-24 in our Youth

Programs.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in this job, an individual is expected to perform each

essential duty to the satisfaction of the Youth Program Director. The

requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills,

and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations are available, upon

request, to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the

essential functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide information to prospective participants regarding the requirements and services offered through our youth programs.

2. Complete funding sources eligibility requirements including documents

acquisition for each participant, in accordance with requirements as

specified in state and federal regulations.

3. Perform participant data entry, tracking, and record-keeping in the

CalJOBS performance management system, the Department of Labor (DOL)

MIS, or other funding source reporting systems.

4. Assist in the pre and post-assessment testing.

5. Perform other recording keeping and participant file management.

6. Perform other duties as assigned by the Youth Program Director.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

Two years of data entry experience in the CalJOBS performance management system required.

Possess sensitivity and awareness related to cultural diversity and

youth inclusion concepts including the principles and practices of youth

development;

Experience in working with young adults in education, workforce, or social service settings;

Proficient in the use of computer applications to prepare correspondence, databases, tracking systems, and spreadsheets;

Able to understand and follow oral and written directions;

Able to meet deadlines identified for all assigned tasks; and

Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
