Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 7:30 a.m.–2:00 p.m.

Merit Preparatory Academy is seeking a dependable, positive, and student-focused Cafeteria Food Prep Worker to help prepare and serve meals to our students and staff. This position is an important part of creating a welcoming school environment and ensuring students receive nutritious meals in a clean, safe, and friendly setting.
What You'll Do
  • Prepare, portion, and serve breakfast, lunch, snacks, and other food items.
  • Follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and food safety procedures.
  • Set up and maintain the cafeteria and food serving areas.
  • Provide friendly and professional service to students and staff.
  • Maintain proper food temperatures and safe food-handling practices.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and food-service equipment.
  • Properly store food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Assist with meal counts, food deliveries, and inventory as needed.
  • Monitor food and supply levels and report shortages or concerns.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Follow all school policies and maintain appropriate professional boundaries with students.
