Position Summary

The Cabin Services Manager is responsible for overseeing all aircraft cabin cleaning operations during assigned shifts at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). This role provides direct supervision, performance management, training, and operational support to Cabin Service Agents to ensure aircraft are cleaned to airline standards and all safety, security, and regulatory requirements are met.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced airport environment and a commitment to operational excellence, safety, and customer service.


Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to all Cabin Service Agents on duty
  • Ensure aircraft interiors are cleaned according to airline specifications and task card requirements
  • Conduct inspections and approve completed cleaning work
  • Monitor staffing levels, productivity, and labor hours
  • Request, assign, and approve overtime as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and provide end-of-shift turnover reports
  • Ensure compliance with:
    • TSA security requirements
    • OSHA and HAZMAT regulations
    • USDA regulations and required logs
    • Airline and company policies
  • Conduct quality audits (Whip-Arounds) and submit findings to airline and vendor leadership
  • Monitor attendance, sick leave, and leaves of absence; administer corrective action when necessary
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of cleaning supplies
  • Ensure hangars, vehicle fleets, and line facilities are clean and organized
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements, when applicable

Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory or management experience, preferably in aviation, airline, janitorial, or airport operations
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-based airport environment
  • Knowledge of TSA, OSHA, HAZMAT, and USDA regulations preferred
  • Proficiency in maintaining operational records and reports
  • Ability to obtain and maintain airport security clearance and badging
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to perform all essential functions of the position safely and effectively
