Description

The Peanut Butter Operator will oversee the complete function of the peanut butter room during each production run. He/She will be responsible for set up and monitoring all machines and equipment, adjust and verify all controls according to requirements. Responsible for ensuring staff break times in accordance to company policy. Responsible for the complete set-up, tear down, washing, cleaning and sanitizing of all machines and equipment. Ensures that all supplies needed are available before, and during each production run. Ensures all production documents and records are properly and accurately completed. Performs all these activities in compliance with company's personnel safety, food safety, food defense and food quality systems.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Checks and adjusts the amount of ingredients throughout each production run to ensure a consistent product
  • Requests product based on work order specification.
  • Meets or exceeds established Production run rates and Quality process indicators.
  • Maintains and records reports on work orders processed and quantities produced.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
  • Must communicate with shift supervisor for production results and any unforeseen situations.
  • Must be able to follow up and resolve issues that occur during each production run
  • Communicates regularly with maintenance technicians to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.
  • Notifies supervisor of recurring equipment malfunction within 15 min of down time.
Education and Qualifications
  • Basic math, reading skills, good communication skills, written and oral.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Must be able to work rotating shifts
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-learner and ability to multi task
  • Basic computer knowledge
Physical Requirements
  • Able to lift and carry up to 35 lbs and 50 lbs with assistance.
Technical Skills
  • Able to operate a pallet jack and safely move up to 2000 lbs of product.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity to operate properly
  • Must be able to stand, walk, work in an environment where stooping, twisting and bending are frequent up to 10 hrs.

  • Able to train direct reports in job functions
