Job Title

The ideal candidate will have experience in requirements elicitation, financial systems, and business process documentation. The Business Analyst will serve as a liaison between stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring clarity and alignment while supporting compliance reporting and process improvements.

Requirement/Must Have
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 5–8 years experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in financial systems or education sector.
  • Strong understanding of financial data, accounting principles, budgets, and grants.
  • Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and financial data analysis tools.
  • Experience with ERP, data warehouses, or financial management systems.
  • Exceptional documentation skills in requirements, user stories, test cases, and process mapping.
  • Outstanding facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with state or federal financial reporting requirements (preferably education/K–12 sector).
Experience
  • Facilitating and leading requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
  • Analyzing K–12 financial data including budgets, allotments, expenditures, revenues, payroll, and grants.
  • Translating business needs into functional requirements, user stories, system specifications, and business process documentation.
  • Developing business process flows, requirements traceability, data dictionaries, and user guides.
  • Supporting compliance reporting for state and federal submissions.
  • Partnering with developers and data engineers to ensure business rules are implemented.

Should Have

Skills
  • Experience with K–12 education finance including allotments, funding formulas, payroll, and grants.
  • Knowledge of Client DPI financial systems, allotments, and reporting processes.
  • Experience with Snowflake, Oracle, or cloud-based data systems.
  • Preferred certifications: PMI-PBA, AgileBA, or equivalent.
Qualification or Education
