Requisition ID 2026-4253 Job Summary Aptive seeks a skilled Business Process Specialist to support the Veterans Health Administration's (VHA) RISE Implementation initiative by providing process analysis, improvement, and implementation support. This role focuses on documenting current and future-state workflows, conducting stakeholder interviews, and analyzing operational processes, staffing models, and governance structures to identify capability gaps and transition requirements. The specialist will assist in developing assessment tools, collecting baseline operational, workforce, and financial data, and supporting readiness assessments to validate Initial Operating Capability (IOC).

Primary Responsibilities In support of implementation, the Business Process Specialist will apply business process reengineering methodologies to streamline operations, reduce complexity, and improve efficiency. Responsibilities include developing implementation checklists, execution trackers, and process improvement plans; supporting coordination of organizational changes; and facilitating cross-functional integration across VHACO and VISNs. The specialist will monitor progress toward Full Operating Capability (FOC), track key performance indicators (KPIs), and contribute to post-implementation reviews, lessons learned, and continuous improvement recommendations to ensure long-term sustainability.

The ideal candidate will have experience in business process analysis, process improvement, and supporting large-scale transformation initiatives, preferably within federal healthcare environments. Strong analytical, facilitation, and documentation skills are required, along with experience using process mapping tools and performance measurement techniques. This role operates in a dynamic, fast-paced environment requiring collaboration with workstream leads, project managers, and subject matter experts to ensure alignment with strategic objectives, policies, and implementation goals.

Minimum Qualifications 6 years of relevant experience, including managing and supporting analysis, design, development, and implementation of enterprise-wide healthcare processes. Bachelor's degree in a related program, such business administration, engineering, or healthcare administration. Consulting experience supporting large, complex Cabinet-level federal agencies.

Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance. Legal authorization to work in the U.S. #J-18808-Ljbffr
