Responsibilities
The Senior Consultant can work either 100% in person or in a hybrid environment, with office visits as needed, in the Reston, VA area. About 15% travel to client locations in VA is required.
The Senior Consultant will develop and implement solutions for clients that are either consultative or technical in nature that provide improvements to the client's business processes and information technology. They will interface regularly with clients and others outside Wipfli.
Responsibilities:
  • Propose and develop solutions to client business needs based on in-depth knowledge of standard applications
  • Proactively communicate with the client on functional deliverables and work plan status
  • Notify the team leader of project cost, quality, and schedule risks, and suggest solutions for both internal and client projects
  • Collect and analyze relevant data, conduct client interviews, prepare workpapers and reports, and serve as lead subject matter expert
  • Thoroughly and clearly document work to illustrate understanding of concepts
  • Train and mentor Consultant I's and Consultant II's; delegate and leverage work to enable associate development
  • Leads and participates in research and development and foundational efforts to position the team to learn, develop, and deliver innovative solutions to the market

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years of technology solutions experience in a professional services firm or 10+ years of private industry technology solutions experience with 1+ years in a professional services firm
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure and Active Director
  • Experience working with clients on-site; up to 15% travel to client locations within the U.S
  • Possesses or works towards obtaining appropriate advanced certifications
  • Demonstrated blend of technical expertise and consultative ability to assess needs and deliver value-driven solutions
  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and organize multiple projects under pressure while quickly responding to unexpected events or changing priorities
  • Training, support or consulting advisory experience is preferred; experience serving clients in healthcare or financial institutions industries is preferred
