Job Description:

The Project Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of medium-sized, moderately complex projects from sales order acknowledgement through final customer acceptance and is the point of contact for customers. Provides project updates to both internal and external customers to manage expectations and validate timelines from order acceptance through final acceptance in the field.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

[Project Planning & Execution]

  • Define project scope, goals, risks, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project kickoff meetings and ensure alignment across departments.
  • Track, analyze, and regularly report on the project budget.
  • Prepare, schedule, and lead MCR sessions and follow through on the MCR throughout the life of the project including but not limited to team requirements, third party services, parts, onsite communication plans, safety, service kick-off, SAT's, customer wrap-up meetings, and open issues communication plans.
  • Oversee timely invoicing per contract terms.

[Team Leadership]

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and run project update meetings.

[Client & Stakeholder Management]

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide regular updates and manage expectations regarding timelines, changes, and deliverables.

[Risk & Change Management]

  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Lead project risk burndown kick-offs and facilitate follow-up meetings.
  • Manage scope changes and ensure proper documentation and approval.

[Quality & Compliance]

  • Track and ensure completion of deliverables.
  • Ensure all machinery projects meet internal quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Support factory acceptance tests (FAT).
  • Oversee post shipment start-up and site acceptance test (SAT) to ensure customer needs are clearly understood and acknowledged.
  • May lead functional teams or projects; coaches, delegates, and reviews work of less experienced team members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A Bachelor's degree, or an associate degree.
  • 3-5 years project management experience in machinery or industrial equipment manufacturing is preferred.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Strong understanding of OEM processes, supply chain, and production workflows.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Formal project management training or certification is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency in project management techniques and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Ability to travel up to 10-15%.
  • Fluent in English; other languages (e.g., Italian, German or Spanish) are a plus.
