Job description

Position Summary

The SAP Business Network (SBN-Ariba) Analyst is responsible for designing, developing, and supporting integrations between SAP ERP systems and the SAP Business Network (SBN) and Ariba. This role ensures seamless supplier collaboration, procurement automation, and data exchange across purchasing, invoicing, logistics, and supply chain processes. The position partners closely with business stakeholders, functional teams, and external partners to deliver stable, scalable, and high‑quality integration solutions.

Position Responsibilities

Integration Design & Development

  • Design SBN integrations for procurement, invoicing, supply chain collaboration, and supplier connectivity
  • Develop and maintain SAP BTP/CPI interfaces for SBN transactions (POs, ASN, invoices, confirmations, etc.)
  • Configure SBN components including supplier onboarding, network rules, and document flows
  • Build and support IDoc, API, EDI, and CXML‑based integrations
  • Ensure integration solutions follow SAP best practices, security standards, and architectural guidelines

Implementation & Support

  • Lead SBN integration testing including SIT, UAT, and regression cycles
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across SAP ECC/S4, CPI, and SBN
  • Support supplier enablement and onboarding activities
  • Monitor and optimize integration performance and message flows

Collaboration & Delivery

  • Work with procurement, supply chain, finance, and IT teams to understand requirements
  • Partner with SAP functional analysts to translate business needs into technical solutions
  • Coordinate with suppliers and external partners to validate connectivity and data quality
  • Provide documentation, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams

Governance & Continuous Improvement

  • Maintain integration standards and reusable frameworks
  • Identify opportunities for automation, simplification, and process optimization
  • Support release management, change control, and production deployment activities
  • Stay current on SAP SBN, BTP, and integration technology updates

Knowledge & Skills

Required Skills & Experience

  • Hands‑on expertise with SAP CPI/BTP, IDocs, APIs, EDI, CXML, and SBN/Ariba Network
  • Strong understanding of procure‑to‑pay, order‑to‑cash, or supply chain collaboration processes
  • Experience with supplier onboarding, network configuration, and document mapping

Competencies

  • Ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues across multiple systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work with technical and business stakeholders
  • Ensure data quality and perform regular system audits, validations, and compliance checks.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and training materials.
  • Support UAT, regression testing, and deployment activities for new features/releases.
  • Provide end-user support, training, and troubleshooting.
  • Ensure system security, compliance, and SOX controls are met.

Experience

  • 5-7+ years of experience supporting SAP Ariba or SAP Business Network solutions.
  • 5–7+ years of experience in SAP integration development
  • Strong understanding of procurement and source-to-pay processes.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA or SAP ERP integration.
  • Knowledge of cXML, EDI, supplier enablement, and electronic document exchange.
  • Experience in requirements gathering and business process analysis.

Education/Certification

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.
