Executive Business Partner
Position Overview
The Executive Business Partner serves as the operational extension of the Vice President, ensuring organizational priorities are translated into execution while providing exceptional executive support. This role combines strategic program management, executive operations, business process improvement, organizational communications, portfolio management, and executive administration into a single trusted business partner.
The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and possesses exceptional organizational, communication, and relationship management skills. This individual will proactively identify opportunities to improve organizational effectiveness, manage executive operating rhythms, coordinate cross-functional initiatives, and provide executive-level support that enables the Vice President to focus on strategic priorities.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Executive Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and operational partner to the Vice President.
  • Manage complex executive calendars, travel, meetings, communications, and confidential information.
  • Prepare executive presentations, briefing materials, leadership communications, and executive correspondence.
  • Coordinate leadership meetings, executive off-sites, and strategic planning sessions.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Vice President, executive leadership, business partners, customers, and external stakeholders.

Executive Operating Rhythm
  • Own the planning and execution of the organization's operating cadence, including Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), Executive Leadership Team updates, Annual Operating Planning, and Board of Directors presentations.
  • Coordinate the collection, validation, and consolidation of business fact sets from multiple functional organizations.
  • Ensure executive deliverables are accurate, consistent, and delivered on schedule.

Strategic Program & Project Management
  • Lead and coordinate small to medium-sized cross-functional projects on behalf of the Vice President.
  • Develop project plans, monitor milestones, manage risks, facilitate issue resolution, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Drive accountability across multiple organizations while providing executive visibility into project health and progress.

Portfolio Management
  • Maintain executive dashboards tracking strategic initiatives, organizational priorities, milestones, dependencies, resource requirements, and business outcomes.
  • Monitor execution against annual goals and provide regular portfolio health updates.
  • Escalate risks and recommend mitigation strategies to leadership.

Organizational Effectiveness
  • Assess organizational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and scalability.
  • Develop and implement standardized operating procedures, workflows, and governance practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Knowledge Management
  • Develop and maintain Confluence templates, dashboards, and documentation supporting annual goals, organizational development, strategic initiatives, leadership meetings, and executive reporting.
  • Ensure organizational information is current, standardized, and easily accessible.

Executive Communications
  • Reinforce the Vice President's vision, priorities, strategies, operating principles, and key messages across approximately 25 people leaders and 15 architects.
  • Support organizational communications that align teams around strategic priorities and execution expectations.

Talent & Organizational Planning
  • Coordinate talent review preparation, succession planning materials, organizational charts, headcount reporting, and workforce planning documentation.
  • Partner with Human Resources to support leadership reviews and organizational planning activities.

Vendor & Business Operations
  • Maintain executive-level vendor relationships and escalation contacts.
  • Coordinate vendor communications and facilitate timely issue resolution.
  • Support contract administration, procurement activities, and operational business needs as required.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • 10+ years supporting Vice Presidents, Senior Vice Presidents, or C-level executives.
  • Demonstrated experience managing executive operating rhythms, strategic initiatives, and cross-functional programs.
  • Experience preparing Executive Leadership Team and Board-level presentations and materials.
  • Strong project and program management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • High degree of business judgment, professionalism, and discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Confluence, and collaboration technologies.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in technology or semiconductor industries.
  • Background supporting executive leadership within high-growth organizations.
  • Experience partnering with Human Resources on talent reviews, organizational planning, or workforce initiatives.
  • Familiarity with business process improvement methodologies and operational excellence practices.

  • An employee's pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including but not limited to (1) relevant education; qualifications; certifications; and experience; (2) skills, ability, knowledge of the job; (3) performance, contribution and results; (4) geographic location; (5) shift; (6) internal and external equity; and (7) business and organizational needs.
  • The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York or remote jobs that can be performed in California, Colorado and New York. This range may be modified in the future.
  • If your position is non-exempt, you are eligible for overtime pay pursuant to company policy and applicable laws. You may also be eligible for shift differential pay, depending on the shift to which you are assigned.
  • You will be eligible to be considered for bonuses under either WD's Short Term Incentive Plan ("STI Plan") or the Sales Incentive Plan ("SIP") which provides incentive awards based on Company and individual performance, depending on your role and your performance.
