Job description

Job Title: Business Development Manager.
Reports To: VP of Growth.
Position Summary:

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and building strong relationships with clients and prospects. This role requires a highly motivated, results-oriented professional with a proven ability to develop new business, maintain client relationships, and achieve ambitious sales goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Growth:
  • Develop and execute growth strategies, including referrals and networking, to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients to secure meetings and drive sales.
  • Develop and manage a top 25 prospect list.
  • Enhance client relationships and establish multiple-level contacts within accounts.
  • Partner with clients to achieve their business objectives and deliver value.
  • Collaborate with branch teams to implement cross-business opportunities.
  • Utilize a consultative sales strategy to overcome client objections effectively.
  • Maintain an accurate CRM database and manage sales funnel.
  • Exceed sales goals, including weekly gross margin, number of accounts, GM%, and weekly revenue.

Market Position & Client Relations:
  • Acquire at least 1 new account per week (minimum 9 per quarter, 30 per year).
  • Achieve a minimum of $250K gross profit per year and 20% YOY growth.
  • Build successful client relationships, ensuring 100% retention rate.
  • Represent the company professionally in local professional and civic organizations.
  • Generate and leverage internal and external referrals to expand business.
  • Promote the company’s reputation and core values.

  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to sell at all levels of an organization across various industries.
  • Expertise in managing a sales funnel, developing key accounts, and closing business.

  • Proficient in company sales methodologies (e.g., Butler Street, Call Planner, Call Summary, Call Skeleton).
  • Strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
  • Competitive, disciplined, resourceful, innovative, and self-motivated.
  • High emotional intelligence and intellectual curiosity.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and familiar with HR databases, job posting systems, and ATS.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and work independently or in a team.
  • Knowledge of recruiting/staffing lifecycle and labor laws.
Other Requirements:
  • Minimum 18 years of age.
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and reliable transportation.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Willingness to submit to a drug screen and criminal background check.
  • Comfortable working in various settings, including clerical, call center, light industrial, warehouse, or manufacturing environments.
