Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Energy Business Unit is looking for a Business Development Manager - Cable Connectivity Solutions to spearhead growth activities for our Cable Connectivity Solutions portfolio across North America. Reporting directly to the Director of Sales, NAM Utilities, this role will drive market development, customer engagement, and strategic growth initiatives for one of TE Energy's most important product portfolios.
This position will work closely with Sales, Marketing and Product Management to continue adoption of TE's industry leading and field proven Power Cable Accessories portfolio, including MV, HV and LV cold-applied and heat-shrink solutions across Utility and Industrial applications. The portfolio includes cable splices, joints, terminations, separable connectors, and related cable connectivity solutions.
Job Description & Responsibilities
  • Own commercial growth performance for the Cable Connectivity Solutions portfolio across North America
  • Partner with Sales Managers to develop and execute regional and account-specific growth strategies to expand share-of-wallet at key customers
  • Engage directly with Utilities to understand evolving customer needs, support product qualifications, and identify new application opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product Management, and Marketing to develop and execute demand generation programs and growth initiatives
  • Provide technical and commercial support during customer-facing meetings, presentations, and strategic account reviews
  • Track market trends, competitive activity, customer specifications, and industry developments to refine go-to-market strategies
  • Serve as the commercial champion for Cable Connectivity Solutions, aligning cross-functional resources to remove barriers and accelerate market penetration

Job Requirements
  • Strong understanding of utility distribution systems, cable connectivity solutions, and utility specification and qualification processes
  • Demonstrated success identifying, developing, and converting new business opportunities into revenue growth
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyze markets, develop growth strategies, and influence customer decisions
  • Comfortable working within a cross-functional, international matrix organization
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) for data analysis, presentations, and reporting
  • Ability to travel 50% to 75% of the time

  • Undergraduate degree in engineering, business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in sales, business development, product management, or strategic account management within the electrical utility industry

• Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $140,700 - $175,800 (subject to change dependent on physical location)
