Position Summary
The Business Development Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities, maintaining key referral relationships, and promoting PuroClean's services throughout an assigned territory. This role requires consistent prospecting, relationship building, and follow-up activities while representing the PuroClean brand with professionalism and integrity.
Success in this position comes from developing strong relationships, identifying opportunities, educating referral partners, and helping clients understand why PuroClean is the trusted choice for property restoration services.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with referral partners, customers, and Centers of Influence (COIs)
  • Generate revenue through consultative sales and business development activities
  • Build, manage, and grow a Top 25 account list
  • Conduct regular face-to-face visits, presentations, lunch-and-learns, and networking events
  • Promote continuing education opportunities for insurance and property management professionals
  • Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective clients
  • Follow up on active projects to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with operations teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences
  • Increase brand awareness through community involvement and networking
  • Develop a strong understanding of restoration services, estimating, and production processes
  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions
  • Represent PuroClean professionally at all times
  • Adhere to company safety policies and procedures

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of outside sales experience preferred
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to build and maintain professional relationships
  • Comfortable speaking to groups, conducting presentations, and attending networking events
  • Self-motivated, organized, and goal-oriented
  • Professional appearance and high level of integrity
  • Existing relationships with insurance professionals, property managers, real estate professionals, plumbers, contractors, or commercial accounts are a plus
  • Valid driver's license required
