Responsibilities

Reporting to the National Vice President, Business Development and Marketing, Individual Insurance and Investment, the successful candidate’s primary objective will be to develop the Individual Insurance and Investment business lines, principally in the specific territories assigned.

Tasks

  • Develop and grow new business relationships, primarily in assigned territories;
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and promotion of individual life insurance, living benefits and investment products;
  • Ensure that annual sales targets and persistency requirements are met;
  • Maintain and follow performance indicators to evaluate possible improvements;
  • Develop and maintain a broad level of knowledge of UV Insurance technology tools available to partners;
  • Act as a resource person for the team to support them in more complex analysis projects;
  • Develop and customize sales concepts related to the target market;
  • Drive adoption of company products and services among advisors and general agents;
  • Coordinate and conduct a set number of one-on-one or group meetings with advisors and general agents;
  • Develop, explain and personalize sales concepts and respond effectively to requests for information about our products;
  • Engage high-potential advisors to establish new business relationships;
  • Work closely with the Inside Sales Team and peers to support coordinated business development in a collaborative environment;
  • Design, organize and conduct training sessions on our products, sales concepts and various company software;
  • Assist advisors in the resolution of complex cases and in developing their business;
  • Actively participate in promotional events;
  • Represent UV Insurance in social or business activities organized by general agents, advisors or partners;
  • Participate in the development, implementation and execution of activities necessary for achieving objectives;
  • Participate in the development of positioning strategies for our insurance and investment products;
  • Gather information from advisors and the network to improve the competitiveness and marketing of our products;
  • Support team collaboration through active meeting participation;
  • Contribute to change management efforts involving digital transformation, new product integration, and market development;
  • Collaborate with the Privacy Officer in the implementation of security measures, policies, and other frameworks related to the protection of personal information;

  • All other related tasks.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, actuarial science or other related disciplines is an asset;
  • Licence to practice as a financial security advisor in life and health insurance is an asset or will be required as part of his/her duties.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in individual insurance and investment-retirement, specifically in business development;
  • Significant experience in building strong business relationships with general agents and advisors is essential.
