Job description

As a Sr. Business Continuity Professional here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for implementing the minimum requirements for the global Corporate Functions, focusing on Business Continuity (BC), Technology Resilience (TR), and Supplier Resilience. You will play a critical role in optimizing and maintaining the Business Continuity program to ensure robust resilience strategies across the organization.

You will work out of our Atlanta, GA or Charlotte, NC location on a Hybrid work schedule.

In this role, you will impact the organization's ability to respond to and recover from disruptive events by partnering with senior leadership and global business leaders to develop a comprehensive view of risk, mitigation measures, and gaps. Your efforts will drive continuous improvement and maintain alignment with Honeywell's Global Resilience Standards.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 3+ years of experience in managing Resilience programs for complex organizations.
  • 3+ Years of demonstrated leadership experience in the implementation of business continuity, crisis management, technology resilience, and or supplier reseliance.
  • Understanding of Fusion or other resilience software
  • Work in complex, cross-functional initiatives at a global level and leading strategic decisions during regional events to assist in crisis response and business recovery efforts.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, utilizing data to drive decisions and develop maturity in a Resilience program.
  • Broad understanding of risk-based initiatives and the ability to clearly communicate complex issues and Resilience initiatives.

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or the equivalent industry experience
  • Professional certification Disaster Recovery Institute international or Business Continuity Institute (DRII, BCI) in business continuity, disaster recovery and/or crisis management.
  • Experience in working with business functions to drive the implementation of business continuity
  • Excellent project management and data analytics skills and experience with using data to drive decisions and develop maturity in a resiliency program
  • The ability to partner with Corporate colleagues and the Resilience Team to drive cross-functional initiatives at a global level with multiple stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor and a broad understanding of the development of risk-based initiatives
  • The ability to communicate resiliency initiatives in a business-focused and digestible manner
  • Results driven with a high level of accountability and ownership with a rigorous attention to detail in all work activities and products
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Crisis Management Support: Help maintain the crisis management program and procedures and monitor program key risk indicators and partner with stakeholders to drive mitigation strategies
  • Business Continuity Planning: Support the ongoing management of the business continuity program to ensure the organization can recover critical operations in the event of a disruption.
  • Technology Resilience: Collaborate with IT teams to create and refine technology resilience strategies that ensure our systems and applications can withstand various challenges.
  • Testing Scenarios Development: Develop and facilitate testing scenarios to evaluate and drive the resilience capabilities of the organization. These scenarios will simulate various disruptions and assess our readiness to address them.
  • Training Program Maturation: Work closely with training teams to mature existing training programs, ensuring staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills necessary to handle crises and maintain continuity during challenges.
  • Enhancement Tools: Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to enhance the tools and technologies, such as the Fusion platform, that support the resilience program. This involves integrating new functionalities and optimizing existing tools to meet program needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with various business units to promote a culture of resilience and accountability, ensuring all employees understand their roles in maintaining business continuity.
