Aurora hires talented people with diverse backgrounds who are ready to help build a transportation ecosystem that will make our roads safer, get crucial goods where they need to go, and make mobility more efficient and accessible for all. Aurora is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join the Operations Excellence team in Dallas, TX. In this role, you will lead the planning and analysis of our logistics network, resource allocation, and load scheduling strategies to optimize efficiency and profitability. You will partner cross-functionally to translate operational challenges into scalable, data-informed solutions that support both commercial and development priorities. This role requires strong analytical skills combined with business acumen.
In this role, you will:
  • Partner with Product, Business Development, and Dispatch stakeholders to develop and optimize weekly network and resource plans across people, trucks, and terminals
  • Build forecasting models to optimize fleet allocation, load management, and network efficiency against commercial and development demand.
  • Translate business problems into analytical frameworks and actionable recommendations that drive operational decisions
  • Scope and define business requirements for fleet allocation, scheduling, load management, and optimization tools in partnership with Product and Engineering teams
  • Create and manage weekly resource allocation schedules based on operational inputs and outputs (fleet allocation, load management, etc.) and network optimization tools
  • Develop performance metrics and dashboards to monitor utilization, identify constraints, and improve operational efficiency
  • Generate executive-ready analyses and recommendations on current and projected resource utilization, operational performance, and alignment to revenue plans
  • Identify constraints and proactively recommend tradeoffs across cost, service, and capacity
  • Apply logistics engineering principles to design and improve terminal layouts, routing logic, and resource flow
  • Develop a strong understanding of logistics partner needs, constraints, and service expectations to improve delivery and cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications:
  • BS in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Supply Chain, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field
  • 5+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, network planning, or operations strategy, with a focus on data analysis and network optimization.
  • Experience building forecasting, allocation, or optimization models
  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience using logistics, planning, or analytics tools to support operational workflows
  • Experience using data to solve operational problems and influence business decisions
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present insights to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-changing
  • Strong judgment and ability to drive work from problem definition through execution

Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in a high-growth tech or startup environment
  • Experience in SQL

The base salary range for this position is $104,000 - 150,000 per year. Aurora's pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, the successful candidate's starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, relevant education or training, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future. The successful candidate will also be eligible for an annual bonus, equity compensation, and benefits.
