The Opportunity

The IT BRM is responsible for the activities related to Information Technology (IT) in the company, involving the definition, development, maintenance and operation of systems, as well as for maintaining the areas technological level up to date, conducting studies and implementing new procedures and techniques. The IT BRM is responsible for the selection of hardware, software and supplies.

The IT BRM defines the Information Technology Director Plan, as well as company policies for centralization and/or decentralization of data processing.

What You'll Work On

  • Plan, develop and direct the operation of information technology systems.
  • Plan and coordinate all investigations, feasibility studies and surveys of proposed and existing information systems and machine applications.
  • Guide the selection, installation and use of computing equipment and software.
  • Maintain current knowledge of equipment, systems and programming techniques appropriate to the organization.
  • Participate in the training of key management with data processing techniques.
  • Set policies, procedures, technical standards, methods, and priorities.
  • Control and recommend budgets.
  • Control the security of information systems.
  • Direct maintenance work and quality control to ensure the efficient and timely operation of the information technology function.
  • Monitor operations and develop improvements.
  • Control the selection, development and training of information technology professionals and other staff and monitor their performance.
  • Allocate staff within information technology locations.

Minimum Requirements & Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required in one of the following:
    • Information Systems / Information Technology
    • Engineering (Industrial, Systems, Biomedical, Software, or Electrical)
    • Business Administration, Operations Management, or equivalent

Minimum Professional Experience

  • Overall, 8-12 years total professional IT experience.
  • 8+ years in business-facing IT roles, such as:
    • IT Business Relationship Management
    • IT Product Management
    • Technology Portfolio or Program Management
    • Business facing IT leadership roles

Regulated Industry Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a regulated environment, preferably in Medical Devices/ Life Sciences (Pharma, Biotech, Diagnostics), etc.
  • Experience working on highly regulated manufacturing industries (with strong Quality systems)

Preferred (but not required):

  • Master's degree (MBA, MS in Engineering, MS in Information Systems)
  • Formal BRM, Product, or Portfolio Management training
