Job Description
Raymond James is expanding enterprise automation capabilities across IT Operations with a focus on Robotic Process Automation (RPA), UiPath, and emerging AI-driven automation technologies. The RPA Automation Intake Analyst is responsible for evaluating, qualifying, documenting, and prioritizing automation opportunities entering the enterprise automation pipeline.
This role serves as the primary intake and assessment function for new automation requests, ensuring opportunities are aligned to enterprise automation standards, technically feasible, scalable, and appropriate for RPA or AI-enabled automation solutions. The analyst partners closely with Operations teams, architects, and developers to assess process suitability, capture requirements, and support automation delivery from discovery through implementation.
The role requires strong analytical and critical-thinking skills, process analysis experience, and working knowledge of UiPath and enterprise automation technologies to determine the right automation approach while preventing inefficient or unstable processes from entering the development pipeline.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary intake and assessment resource for automation requests.
  • Evaluate and qualify automation opportunities for UiPath RPA, AI/agentic automation, workflow automation, integration, or process redesign.
  • Conduct discovery sessions with stakeholders to understand operational processes, pain points, and automation opportunities.
  • Document business processes, workflows, BRDs, functional requirements, process flows, and use cases.
  • Assess process stability, standardization, technical feasibility, scalability, and operational readiness.
  • Partner with developers and solution architects to support requirements clarification, design, testing, and implementation.
  • Support automation governance, intake prioritization, and pipeline management activities.
  • Identify and prevent low-value or technically unsuitable automations from entering development.
  • Support continuous improvement and operational efficiency initiatives across all functions.
  • Maintain documentation and analysis standards aligned with enterprise SDLC and governance practices.

Education/Previous Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and more than five (5) years of relevant experience in business analysis, automation, RPA, IT Operations, or enterprise technology initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience supporting enterprise automation programs and working with cross-functional technology teams preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of UiPath, RPA concepts, and emerging AI/agentic automation capabilities.
  • Experience assessing and qualifying automation opportunities for technical feasibility and business value.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Experience documenting business processes, workflows, BRDs, and functional specifications.
  • Ability to evaluate when automation, workflow, integration, or process redesign is the appropriate solution.
  • Experience supporting enterprise IT Operations or technology-focused initiatives.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Understanding of SDLC, Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Ability to support developers through requirements clarification, testing, and implementation activities.
  • Ability to manage multiple intake requests and priorities in a fast-paced enterprise environment.

Licenses/Certifications
  • None required, but one or more of the following below would be preferred:
  • UiPath Certified Professional Business Analyst Professional
  • UiPath Certified Professional Automation Developer Associate or Professional
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or CCBA
  • PMI Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA)

  • ITIL Foundation Certification preferred
