Business Analyst/Project Manager

Responsible for functional business analysis, requirements definition, and validation for IT projects. Functions in the Business Analyst role on assigned projects to document, test and communicate detailed business requirements. Delivers system knowledge about new workflow processes. Follows business analysis standards and guidelines and monitors compliance. Functions in the Project Manager role on assigned projects to create timelines, execute activities, and drive project deadlines.

Required Skills
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as JD Edwards
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies
  • Minimum 3-5 years enterprise-level business analysis experience
  • Project Lead / Project Management experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills to multiple levels of the organization
  • Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, Visio
  • Jira / Atlassian / Confluence experience a plus
  • Facilitation and negotiation skills
  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced environment.
Job Duties
  • As a Business Analyst, your essential job functions will include the following:
  • Business Process Analysis and Process/System Expertise:
  • Developing breadth and depth of knowledge, both ERP and other systems and process, in assigned functional area(s) and product(s), with a holistic view across broad processes and systems.
  • Recommending and developing business process improvements for assigned area.
  • Analyzing cross-functional impact of business and systems processes across organizations
  • Working with users to identify and recommend desired process modifications and enhancements
  • Documenting and modeling business processes and associated data, including both “as-is” current processes and “to-be” improved processes
  • Delivery of system knowledge on projects to new and existing users of new work flow processes and Information Technology system and products.
  • Keeping customers informed of business analysis work progress.
  • Meeting regularly with customers and IT Management to discuss, prioritize and report on application enhancements
  • Maintaining and enforcing existing technology and documentation strategy
  • Customer Support Services
  • Responding to incident requests within established Dealer Tire Service Level Agreements
  • Engaging users in reporting the issues; timely response back to users; engaging other IT resources as needed, documenting issue resolution; analysis of patterns and trends within the requests; properly coding time spent; closing the user tickets according to the agreed timeframes
  • Working with appropriate IT resources to implement process and system improvements to reduce/eliminate root causes of incidents
  • Providing system knowledge transfer to functional super users and help desk support
  • Project / Portfolio Management
  • Act as a trusted advisor for internal customers, aligning business priorities that require IT resources
  • Create and maintain system roadmaps for internal customers
  • Developing project timelines, milestones, and deliverables for assigned projects within defined high-level parameters of cost, time, and scope.
  • Applying change management procedures on projects to control scope.
  • Communicating issues and resolution timelines to meet project dates, escalating to IT Management when appropriate.
  • Providing overall project status to project stakeholders and IT Management
  • Conduct product demonstrations for current capabilities and coordinating overviews of potential future capabilities
  • Requirements and Quality Management:
  • Leading associates and management users in recording and communicating business requirements and defining acceptance criteria.
  • Working with associates to develop user acceptance test objectives, test plans and/or test scripts to verify and accept that business requirements have been met
  • Executing system tests and user acceptance tests of system changes.
  • Work Management
  • Planning and estimating business analysis work as described above
  • Facilitate and follow standard operating procedures for implementation of system changes
  • Scheduling and coordinating ongoing and future development efforts
  • Monitoring adherence to established business analysis standards and guidelines
  • Meeting project quality, schedule, and cost commitments, under pressure
  • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements -Position Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as JD Edwards
