Position Summary
The Business Development Manager is responsible for new business development and account management of existing customers in a defined territory through selling the CIRCOR portfolio and meeting/exceeding annual booking targets.  This role will be primarily responsible for developing new business opportunities, securing design wins, and supporting sales and business development strategies. Duties include understanding and communication of market trends, demand forecasting, management of business capture targeting, proposal generation, contract negotiation, and closure to contract award.
Principal Activities
Making field sales calls on existing and prospective customers in respective territory or areas of responsibility
Acquire and maintain knowledge of customer programs, requirements, organization, and communicate to appropriate CIRCOR Management and Sales Director
Acquire and communicate competitive intelligence as it pertains to CIRCOR products, technology, and activity
Inform and train manufacturer representatives on CIRCOR Aerospace Inc., products as required
Meet or exceed annual booking goals set for respective area of responsibility
Increase OEM business by working with customers' engineering and sourcing staff to have CIRCOR Aerospace Inc., custom products and capabilities baselined into product specifications wherever possible
Develop and manage contacts and relationships at all customers
Coordinate and/or manage and respond to technical and price quotations via Request for Information and Request for Proposals; follow up until closure
Develop and implement strategies that successfully target potential customers and capture additional market share from competitors
Identify target accounts in which to promote new business
Establish and maintain territorial sales forecasts and maintenance of customer profile reports Prepare and present detailed CIRCOR capability presentations for customers
Provide customer contact reports to relevant CIRCOR staff for service and follow-up
Support various trade shows and exhibitions
