What is a bulk food job?

Bulk food jobs involve working in sections of grocery stores, supermarkets, or specialty shops where food items are sold in large quantities, often without individual packaging. Employees in these roles are responsible for organizing, stocking, and maintaining bulk bins or dispensers, assisting customers, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards are met. These jobs may also include weighing and labeling products, restocking supplies, and providing information about different bulk food items. Bulk food workers play an important role in helping customers buy exactly the amount they need while reducing packaging waste.
