Job description

SENIOR BUILDINGS MANAGER

Passion City Church

OBJECTIVE

To help carry out the mission of Passion City Church, that we are: for God, for people, for the city, and for the world.

The Senior Buildings Manager leads the day-to-day care, operation, and readiness of all Passion City Church locations. This role helps create environments where people can gather, encounter Jesus, and experience all that He is doing through Passion. This person carries ownership of building operations, leads the Buildings Team with clarity and consistency, and helps steward our spaces with excellence so that every environment supports the mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operational leadership and stewardship
    • Lead the daily operations of all building locations with excellence and attention to detail
    • Ensure every space is safe, clean, functional, and ready for gatherings and events
    • Oversee work orders, team priorities, and daily execution
    • Maintain a high standard of care across all environments
    • Support budget management by tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities
  • Facilities and Maintenance Management
    • Manage and oversee use of eSpace for scheduling, coordination, and alignment across locations
    • Oversee and organize offsite and on-location warehouse storage at the 515 location.

    • Ensure all furniture, fixtures, and accessories are in good working order, arranging repairs as needed. Maintain accurate inventory items.

    • Ensure proper use of building systems and tools, including BAS and maintenance platforms

    • Monitor equipment and identify potential issues before they become problems

    • Execute preventative maintenance to protect and sustain building systems

    • Troubleshoot issues and ensure they are resolved quickly and effectively

    • Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and building systems to ensure reliable performance

  • Scheduling and Coordination

    • Ensure team coverage is aligned with the rhythm of weekly gatherings and events

    • Coordinate schedules for contractors, maintenance work, and special projects

    • Oversee setup and teardown for events across all locations

    • Partner with teams across Passion to support Sundays and key gatherings

  • Vendor Relations

    • Ensure quality work and follow-through from all vendors

    • Provide input on operational needs and how resources are used

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service partners

  • Performance & Accountability

    • Track work orders, response times, and completion rates

    • Provide regular updates on building operations

    • Drive continuous improvement in processes and execution

    • Compliance & Safety
      • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and regulations
      • Support emergency preparedness and response
      • Maintain accurate documentation and records
    • Team Support and Logistics
      • Oversee work order meetings and weekly eSpace team meetings to ensure alignment and efficiency.
      • Lead and support the Buildings Team in their roles and responsibilities
      • Create clarity around expectations, priorities, and coverage
      • Foster a culture of ownership, teamwork, and excellence
      • Support logistics such as deliveries, warehouse coordination, and team needs
    • PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
      • Ability to lift and move furniture and accessories as needed.
      • Comfortable working on-site across multiple building locations.

    WORK SCHEDULE

    Monday - Thursday, 9a - 5p + all-day Sunday; Additional days and times as necessary.

    Senior Director of Buildings & Security

    AN IDEAL INDIVIDUAL

    • Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance, or a related field.
    • Strong leadership and team management skills.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Familiarity with scheduling tools and maintenance management systems, such as eSpace and BAS.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance and operational issues effectively.
    • Bachelor's Degree preferred; 5-8 years of facilities management experience
