POSITION SUMMARY: 

 Supervises and coordinates activities of staff engaged in building infrastructure, general maintenance and construction.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervises and coordinates staff workload for building maintenance, machine maintenance and custodial services.
  • Defines material and labor requirements for building maintenance, machine maintenance and custodial service requests.
  • Specify & order material as necessary to complete work orders and/or preventative maintenance tasks.
  • Assigns work to staff by following skills matrix and work requirements for all teams.
  • Inspects work performed to ensure conformance to specifications and established standards.
  • Recommends staff action, such as hires and terminations to ensure proper staffing.
  • Coaches/mentors staff to resolve production and personnel issues.
  • Training & recognition of staff in building maintenance, machine maintenance and custodial service methods, procedures, and proper operation of equipment relative to the group.
  • May be assigned tasks outside the scope of this job description.

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain awareness and understanding of documents published in the BMS Library, with specific competency of general as well as related field documents.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 4-7 years progressive experience and responsibility in a maintenance field.
  • Minimum 3 years in a supervisory role with experience directing a multi-functional building maintenance staff.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills.
  • Lean experience a plus

SALARY RANGE: 

Base Salary Range (Inglewood only): $37.00 - $ 46.63 / hr
