# Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager**Position Title:** Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager **Position Type:** Full-Time **Reports to:** BAS/Controls Division Manager **Location:** OnsiteApply Now### General DescriptionLee Mechanical is seeking an experienced Building Automation Systems (BAS) Project Manager to lead fast-paced temperature controls and building automation projects for mission-critical data centers from pre-construction through project completion. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all aspects of BAS projects while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.Working closely with engineering teams, field technicians, contractors, vendors, and customers, the BAS Project Manager will play a key role in delivering innovative building automation solutions for mission-critical data centers.### Essential Duties & Responsibilities:* Manage multiple BAS and temperature controls projects simultaneously from kickoff through closeout.* Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, manpower plans, and procurement timelines.* Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, contractors, consultants, and internal project teams.* Coordinate project startup meetings and maintain clear communication throughout each phase of construction.* Review contract documents, project specifications, drawings, and scope requirements.* Coordinate engineering deliverables, equipment submittals, procurement, and material tracking.* Manage Requests for Information (RFIs), change orders, submittals, and project documentation.* Coordinate field activities with technicians, subcontractors, and other trades to ensure efficient project execution.* Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve scheduling or construction challenges.* Track project costs, labor productivity, and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle.* Conduct regular project status meetings with internal teams and customers.* Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company safety standards and quality expectations.* Oversee project commissioning, startup coordination, punch list completion, and final closeout documentation.* Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships through excellent communication and project execution.### Qualifications:* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field preferred.* Equivalent combination of education and relevant BAS, controls, or construction management experience will be considered.* 3+ years of project management experience in Building Automation Systems, HVAC Controls, or a related construction field preferred.* Strong understanding of HVAC systems, building automation controls, and commercial construction processes.* Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules simultaneously.* Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.* Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents.* Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.* Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.### Preferred Skills:* Experience with BAS platforms such as Siemens, Johnson Controls, Trane, Honeywell, Distech, Schneider Electric, or similar systems.* Familiarity with BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks, or other building automation communication protocols.* Experience with commissioning and startup of building automation systems.* Experience with estimating software and the ability to support estimating efforts is a plus.* Knowledge of data center mechanical systems is a plus.### Equal Opportunity StatementAt Lee Companies, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and teammates without regard to race, color, religion, sex, pregnancy, national origin, age, physical and mental disability, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, genetic information, military and veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable law.
