Assistant Building and Project Manager

The Pastoral Center of the Archdiocese of Miami is seeking an Assistant Building and Project Manager for the Building and Property Office. This position will work under the direction of the Senior Director of Building & Properties and will be primarily responsible for coordinating projects related to the Pastoral Center, Episcopal residences, and smaller archdiocesan entity projects, including but not limited to, new construction, additions, renovations, repairs and maintenance, roofing, and ongoing building recertifications. The Assistant Building and Project Manager performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Essential Functions include:
  • Coordinate projects with pastors, principals, administrators, contractors, consultants, and vendors.
  • Assist the senior director with all phases of project development, including pre-construction, construction, and project closeout.
  • Monitor project budgets, schedules, invoices, contracts, and overall progress.
  • Coordinate permitting and assist with building recertification requirements.
  • Assist with contractor proposals, construction contracts, and payment requests.
  • Assist with the ADOM Roof Asset Management Program (RAMP).
  • Coordinate maintenance and repairs for assigned properties, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, roofing, landscaping, and other building systems.
  • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to the Senior Director of Building & Property.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management degree preferred; and / or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a Roman Catholic environment preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC and other building systems.
  • Familiarity with construction documents, plans, schematics, and blueprints.
  • Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Professional demeanor and commitment to the mission and values of the Archdiocese of Miami.
