The Custodial Worker is a full-time staff member of University Housing who is responsible for the quality of living in a designated residence hall(s) at the University of South Carolina. Primary duties Maintains wood, ceramic tile, cement, brick, and linoleum floors Responds to emergencies to include extracting water from floors and carpeted areas during flooding in order to prevent water damage Assists with the preparation for and clean-up of University special events Applies total quality management/continuous improvement principles and processes This position is designated as essential personnel during inclement/hazardous weather and other emergencies. This position does have access to state benefits such as retirement and medical insurance.
