Job description

The Operations Department is responsible for auditing the daily trading activity and overseeing the vendor managed, Transfer Agent function. The Analystโ€™s primary duties include the exercise of discretion and independent judgment with respect to matters of significance to the Company, including representing the department with internal stakeholders across the organization and serving as a daily liaison with external parties, which includes, but is not limited to executing brokers, clearing brokers, transfer agent, selling firm back-offices, financial advisors, clients and vendors

The Operations Analyst joins the Operations Team and will report to the Manager of Operations.

Principal Responsibilities:

Trade Operations

โ€ข Daily monitoring of Campbellโ€™s third-party trade matching services, for any execution discrepancies between Campbellโ€™s execution system, and the various executing banks on trade date.

โ€ข Liaise with various vendors to resolve trade breaks and discrepancies.

โ€ข Reconcile Campbellโ€™s trading history from the previous day from both a transaction and total holdings basis for all accounts.

โ€ข Assist with the coordination of various internal and external stakeholders for information or documentation in order to meet account launch deadlines.

โ€ข Use external stakeholder systems, products or industry knowledge to onboard new markets and asset classes as necessary.

โ€ข Support research and trading needs through the facilitation of model testing, trading related changes, and production system support, resolving after-hours production system issues when necessary.

Fund Operations

โ€ข Ensure applicable reports are accurate and disbursed to appropriate counterparties to facilitate position reconciliation.

โ€ข Assist in onboarding new selling firm relationships and electronic services firms.

โ€ข Act as a point of escalation for resolving investor transaction and position breaks between the Administrator and Selling/Service Firm partners.

โ€ข Strictly maintain client confidential information with all business operations.

โ€ข Operate the kit fulfillment function and printing needs for Marketing.

Process Improvement/Departmental Projects

โ€ข Assess and enhance the operational workflows and related processes through a continual gap analysis against industry benchmarks and trends.

โ€ข Work with staff, managers and IT resources to optimize departmental workflows as it relates to operational applications.

โ€ข Develop procedures and test cases by translating system workflows into documentation. Test execution and document results.

โ€ข Work on or lead department-level and firm-level projects relating to operations.

Reporting and Analytics

โ€ข Assist in developing metrics and reports to measure the performance of vendors and internal operational efficiencies using Panopticon and other means as necessary.

โ€ข Aggregate and normalize data from various sources to report product sales and AUM.

โ€ข Liaise with Performance Reporting, Finance, and Sales Teams to identify opportunities to enhance existing reports and data sets.

โ€ข Assist with reporting requests related to regulatory compliance or portfolio reconciliations.

Decision making authority

โ€ข Apply judgement over the changes and updates of the trading system and its related ecosystem.

โ€ข Exhibit good judgment in resolving or escalating operational issues and production system issues.

โ€ข Process, analyze and problem solve detailed trade data.

โ€ข Analyze and identify potential issues, contact appropriate personnel, and speak out and raise concerns when logs or details appear inaccurate or suspicious.

Required Qualifications

โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree with emphasis in business, technology, or finance with 1-year of experience in financial services or trading middle/back-office operations

โ€ข Strong verbal and written communication skills

โ€ข Excellent problem solving, conceptual thinking, analytical and interpersonal skills

โ€ข Extremely detail oriented and organized

โ€ข Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast pace and continuously changing, open floor, and hybrid work environment

โ€ข Strong time management skills allowing oneself to work on multiple projects simultaneously
