Job description

Job Description 100% onsite in Auburn Hills, MI. Temporary Assignment: Minimum of 3 months, potential for extension and conversion to full time depending on performance The Supply Chain Supply Planner for Raw Materials is responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement and availability of raw materials to support production schedules. This role involves demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and close collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include but not limited to: Develop and maintain raw material supply plans based on demand forecasts, production schedules, and inventory targets. Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, and logistics teams to ensure material availability and minimize disruptions. Monitor inventory levels and adjust planning parameters to optimize stock levels and reduce excess/obsolete inventory.

Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement. Manage supplier relationships to ensure on-time delivery and resolve supply issues. Support new product introductions and engineering changes by aligning material availability with project timelines.

Utilize ERP and planning systems to maintain accurate material requirements planning (MRP) data. Mutual respect required. In the fast-paced role, successful Supply Chain Specialists are agile, strategic thinkers who are comfortable developing business plans and presenting to all levels of the organization and with internal/external stakeholders.

Requirements: TEMP ASSIGNMENT - Minimum of 3 months- potential for extension and conversion to full time depending on performance Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field. 3+ years of experience in supply planning, preferably in raw materials or manufacturing environments. Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau)

Strong analytical and organizational skills. Proficiency in MRP systems and planning tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or similar). Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills

APICS/CPIM certification is a plus. Additional Must Haves: Location: Auburn Hills, MI - 100% onsite, flexibility if needed 3+ years of experience No driving a company vehicle is required No travel Temporary Assignment: Minimum of 3 months, potential for extension and conversion to full time depending on performance Contract to hire opportunity
