This position offers a unique remote work setting tailored to school-based mental health counseling. You will have the opportunity to engage with students, parents, and teachers from the comfort of your workspace while utilizing telehealth technologies. • Conduct comprehensive assessments for students to evaluate their mental health status, identifying symptoms and potential diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral issues.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic techniques, aligning strategies with each student’s unique challenges and goals.
• Provide one-on-one and group therapy sessions using modalities that resonate with students, with an emphasis on culturally informed practices.
• Regularly track and document patient progress through electronic health records (EHR), ensuring compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards.
• Coordinate with other mental health professionals, including school psychologists and psychiatrists, to create a cohesive care strategy for students who may require additional support.
• Engage in crisis intervention as needed, demonstrating the ability to remain calm and effective during challenging situations.
• Offer parents and caregivers guidance and resources, facilitating their involvement in their child's mental health journey.
• Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices, ensuring the highest quality of care for your clients.

The primary focus of this position will be on school-aged children and adolescents, who may be facing a variety of mental health concerns, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, learning difficulties, and social challenges. Our approach is tailored to meet the diverse needs of each student, taking into account cultural differences and personal backgrounds to deliver effective and inclusive therapy.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• A current and valid state license as an LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW.
• A minimum of four years of relevant experience in a mental health counseling role is essential.
• Strong knowledge of mental health disorders, evidenced by a track record of delivering effective therapy and interventions.
• Demonstrated cultural competence and experience providing services to a diverse population.

• Proven ability to conduct both individual and group therapy, emphasizing inclusivity in therapeutic practices.
• Experience in school-based counseling or within systems that support child and adolescent mental health.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and digital communication tools pertinent to remote therapy.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills that foster strong relationships with students and parents.
