• Conduct thorough assessments for clients, evaluating their mental health status through interviews, questionnaires, and observation.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans that address the unique needs of each client and adapt the plans as necessary based on progress and feedback.
• Facilitate regular therapy sessions, either individually or in groups, providing clients with practical tools and coping strategies to navigate their challenges.
• Collaborate with educational staff, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR), documenting client progress and treatment outcomes while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
• Provide crisis intervention support when needed, demonstrating exemplary crisis management skills to stabilize and support clients in distress.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest trends in mental health therapies and methodologies.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Brightline, you will work primarily with children and adolescents within a school setting. Your clients may face various issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and substance abuse. Your role is critical in creating a supportive environment where young individuals can feel safe and understood, fostering their emotional growth and resilience.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Possession of a current and valid counseling license such as LCMFT, LCPC, LCP, LCSW, or LSCSW in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of four years of relevant clinical experience working in a similar capacity, particularly within school or community settings.
• A strong understanding of mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment approaches, and cultural competence in delivering therapy.
• Experience providing both individual and group therapy sessions that respect and integrate the cultural backgrounds of clients.

• Demosnstrated experience in working with diverse populations and special needs groups, enhancing the inclusivity and effectiveness of therapy interventions.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and a fluidity with technology essential for remote work functionality.
• Strong interpersonal skills, allowing for effective communication and rapport-building with clients, families, and collaborative partners.
• A practice of maintaining professional ethics, boundaries, and respect for confidentiality in all client interactions.
• Capacity to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team, enhancing holistic client care.

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 100,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
