This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Brand Graphic Designer. This role will be based in Benton Harbor, MI.
In this role you will create, document and govern inspirational and functional, on product graphic brand languages for our portfolio of brands (KitchenAid, JennAir, Maytag, Whirlpool and Amana). Your scope of work will deliver strategic, cohesive, modern and powerful, on product brand expressions.
Your responsibilities will include

  • Define the core, on product graphic elements of the brand product experience
  • Collaborate with ID, CMF, Ui/Ux and marketing in brand language design activities to create inspiring visions for our portfolio of brands
  • Create on-product graphics brand language
  • Visualize a graphics direction through prototyping and digital renderings
  • Produce high quality presentation materials to communicate the brand strategy to a broad audience
  • Create and maintain brand graphics strategy documents for cross functional and cross discipline reference to ensure that the language is delivered consistently across multiple products within a suite


Minimum requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design
  • 3+ years of professional design experience in a corporate or consultant environment


Preferred skills and experiences

  • Written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate communication across different disciplines
  • Visual communication and storytelling skills
  • Project management and planning skills
  • Ability to identify and articulate influencing graphic design trends
  • Driven to raise the bar, challenge the status quo, and experiment with new approaches to deliver results and create impact
  • Proficient with creative software, including: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and Google Suite products
