Job description

Winston is seeking a hands-on E-commerce Technology Lead to support the daily functionality, maintenance, and back-end management of our e-commerce platforms, including Shopify, eBay, and future Amazon marketplace operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical Shopify experience who enjoys managing product uploads, listings, promotions, inventory syncing, app troubleshooting, and platform optimization.

What You’ll be Doing

  • Own the daily back-end maintenance of Winston’s Shopify platform, eBay marketplace, and future Amazon marketplace setup.
  • Manage product uploads, new listings, promotional updates, sales price imports/exports, and inventory syncing.
  • Troubleshoot Shopify-related issues, app functionality, platform integrations, and syncing issues with Odoo.
  • Maintain platform accuracy across product listings, pricing updates, promotions, inventory data, and e-commerce applications.
  • Learn the current back-end structure of the e-commerce platforms and identify patterns, issues, and opportunities for improved functionality.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to make the website more efficient, proficient, and scalable over time.
  • Work through optimization tasks and technical “chores” provided by vendors or consultants to improve site functionality and visibility.
  • Help build a stronger operational foundation for e-commerce growth without changing or replacing existing core systems.
  • Manage the data and list integrity within Shopify, ensuring information remains accurate and current.
  • Support both B2B and B2C e-commerce functionality through hands-on platform administration.
  • Ensure e-commerce systems are working properly across Shopify, eBay, marketplace tools, applications, and integrations.
  • Serve as the internal technical resource for day-to-day e-commerce platform support.

What We Need

  • 2 - 4+ Years of Proven hands-on experience managing the back end of Shopify.
  • Proven track record in designing and maintaining Ecommerce process and flows and optimization
  • Ability to clearly explain prior Shopify ownership, including what was built, how it was managed, and why certain decisions were made.
  • Experience with eBay marketplace management strongly preferred.
  • Amazon marketplace experience is helpful but not required.
  • Strong technical understanding of e-commerce platform administration, product uploads, listings, promotions, apps, integrations, and inventory syncing.
  • Experience troubleshooting Shopify applications, platform issues, and connected systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data across multiple platforms.
  • Ability to work fully onsite at the Rochester Hills, MI location.
  • Comfortable in a hands-on coordinator/support role rather than a high-level strategy-only role.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams, vendors, consultants, and leadership as needed.
  • Experience with Odoo or similar ERP/system integrations is a plus.
  • Product photography experience is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
